Ryan has been creating businesses for 12 years. He has founded 4 companies and advised 15 more to get off the ground - the most successful of which, Raft, was acquired in 2014. He is most passionate about the product development process of starting new companies.
Ryan co-founded rhubarb studios in downtown Los Angeles, which has launched 14 startups in the last year and consulted on many more. He acts as an entrepreneur in residence at the studio, coaching founders and their teams in lean, agile and design thinking to create validated products that users love.
Ryan writes on entrepreneurship. He loves sharing the knowledge gained over many successes and failures. Ryan is driven by the philosophy: “why let others create the world for you, when you can build it yourself?”
